Kinja'd!!!2 Kinja'd!!! 23

So must follow a silly morning.

Warehouse man last night being a ‘jobsworth’ tipping the chilled wagon leaving 18 frozen roll comps in the cool warehouse and not putting them away while I had to do stupid ‘legal training’ (dealing with sexual harassment in the work place, discrimination, etc... legal obligations and generic garb companies have to show their staff to say they comply with this and that (it’s the same video we’ve watched for the last 13 years, every year or when another store screws up and we all have to sit twiddling our thumbs when all they need to say is “hey, don’t be a dick. Now on to your jobs”, done)). So the cages had been out a while and I had to put them away before it broke the ‘chilled chain’. Then start working it (already an hour behind). Now in a night by myself 10-11 comps is about the best but they wanted all 18 doing so inevitably they ended up flooding my department to get the products out. For the last hour and a half there was colleagues everywhere with me sweating like a burglar on a police I.D. parade running around.

So cue work finished, home and relax, no work tonight so JagerBombs to take the edge off.

Jagarbombs are surprisingly tasty.

Sounds like you had a pretty crazy night. Here’s some car-prons for ya: http://oppositelock.kinja.com/david-love-mem…

Is it bad that I’m on my fifth and I’ve only been home 35 minutes and still in my work trousers and work boots venting on here?

What the hell. If it’s wrong I don’t want to be right.

Ye’, you know how we Brits say “they couldn’t organise a piss-up in a brewery”, well these couldn’t run a bath never mind a store.

Cheers for the pics. Classic cars are a thing of architectural and mechanical beauty. They shouldn’t be babied but driven.

Jagerbombs aren’t my go to for “take the edge off” drink more like my“I’m gonna fuck shit up, your shit, my shit, this shit, that shit, literally all the shit.” drink

Seriously the last two times I had Jager I; Ended up pantsless pucking on the bathroom floor all night, That was straight Jager though.. and a few other things. 5 beers, a Four Loco, 2 full cups of jager, and after that I may have drank more but IDK.

The other time I have probly 4 or 5 double shot Jagerbombs, fo 8-10 shots of Jager with 4 or 5 8.4 once Red Bulls. I punched the shit out of a wall, got into a friendly fist fight with two friends, then stayed up all night crashed around 8 am, got up two hours later and the whole crew went out for breakfast. That was actually probably the best party I’ve ever been too.

Haha I’m going to have to steal that saying now.

And driven they were. The sounds they made were simply glorious.

Sounds like a good night was had by all. I’m 36 now so those days are passed me. I’ve a bottle of Tullamore Dew to my side but JagerBombs just called to me as I was leaving work. Maybe it’s the amount of alcohol I had in my youth but it doesn’t affect me anymore. I now get bored of drinking long before it actually has any effect on me, but when it does, boy does it take longer to get over it.

I’m not going anywhere today, the car is parked up. Will be doing a clean on her and a neighbours car then sorting out all my car cleaning stuff in the shed and the alley way. This getting older crap sucks, responsibilities hey.

Modern cars have a different kind of look and a different kind of beauty, classic cars have a beauty that grabs you on so many levels, the look, the sound, the smell and the feel. It’s sensory overload. There is not one single thing over another just the sum total that makes you yearn for times long past. Coupled with classic films from your youth make your minds eye create a scene that would win Oscars.

That is so true. I honestly could have pulled up a stool next to the Testa Rossa and sat there for hours alone in silence just smelling and admiring the curves. Something about classic cars just makes you want to sit there and imagine the history the car would have to tell if it could speak.

I’ve super soft fibre gloves for checking cars and when you close your eyes and let your hands wonder over the curves and ridges of a classic car body it sings.

I need to get a pair of those. As much of a detailing sin it is, I touch my car’s bare paint after I perform a paint correction on it.

To be honest with some of the sealants I’ve used over the years it’s hard not to touch the car after it’s done. A colleague who has a black Fiesta ST, whenever I do it he will be at the lights in the summer and he’ll open his window and have his arm out stroking the side of the car.

It’s not always how you touch it but what you touch it with and how it is when you touch it. If the car is dirty and you touch it with anything even a super fine cloth you may marr the paint but if it’s clean and a good sealant or wax on will reduce the drag on the body and will glide over with no effect on the body what so ever.

I will strap on pillows around my gibblets and head first.

Eh, my “take-the-edge-off” go-to is a Kentucky Mule or three. Like other commenters, a Jäger Bomb is kind of like a “time to fuck shit up” type of drink.

Yeah, I’m only 26 and I’m feeling that getting old crap too. I don’t really drink anymore. If I drink alone, I don’t usually don’t want to get drunk. I was more of a social drinker, but all my party friends either moved, or started doing stuff I couldn’t do, even shitfaced drunk, like cheating on their spouses, and intentionally driving drunk (booze cruising). The other night I went out with the wife and we had a few drinks, that was fun.

Oh I forgot to mention, white russians, a rum and coke, or some Disaronno. Are pretty much my go to take the edge off drinks, depending on how much edge there is to take off.

I think my alcohol tolerances are too high. Lol.

I had eight jagerbombs and then an hour later I washed Piglet and the neighbours Eos.

I will ordinarily drink Guinness or Irish whiskey and bad nights would mean both together. Three of those, you forgot about it and moved on and watched some tv and went to bed.
